Jewellery Refinishing or Restoration

Do you have a piece of jewellery that just doesn’t have the same shine it once did? Does your jewellery look discoloured? Scuffs and scratches due to general wear can really dull the shine of your jewellery. Also, contact with certain chemicals or even air (in the case of silver) can cause your jewellery to oxidize and stain the surface.

Appraisals

Whether you have just inherited some jewellery or would like to insure the jewellery you’ve collected over the years, appraisals are a must.  An appraisal is a written document that describes a piece of jewellery in great detail and assigns a monetary value that is required by insurance companies to cover loss or theft of your jewellery. 

If you’ve experienced a loss or theft of your jewellery and don’t have appraisals, don’t panic! We can work with you to create an “Estimate of Replacement”.  An estimate of replacement value is determined by photos of your jewellery along with your verbal description of the piece. Based on the information you provide us, we will determine values and prepare a document specifically tailored for insurance companies. Once submitted, we will work with you and your insurance company to ensure that your expectations are met.

Watch repair

These days, throughout your daily routine, there are so many fixtures and gadgets that will give you the time of day, accurate to the millisecond.  Your wristwatch, however, needs regular attention to keep up with the “times”.  From batteries to overhauls, crystal replacement, and water testing, we’ve got you covered.  If your watch is no longer keeping the correct time or just isn’t working at all, we can provide you with a free estimate for repair.

Redesign

Jewellery styles change over time but you keep your old jewellery because it was a special gift or holds sentimental value.  If your jewellery is not being worn or is being stored away, you may be interested in using that old jewellery to create something new.  The benefit of this process is by using the same gold and stones to make the new piece, the sentimentality is maintained.  There are lots of creative and unique pieces that can be created depending on what you have to work with.  If you have something in mind, great!
