What do I have?

Have you inherited a shoe box full of stuff? Looks like it might be costume jewellery but you aren’t sure? This is quite common and we are happy to go over everything with you, free of charge or obligation.  Figuring out what you have and what it is worth is an important step in the decision of what to do with everything.  There is also the emotional aspect of handling pieces from your loved ones and creating a comfortable and pressure free environment to do so is very important to us.

What can I do with it?

The first step for redesign is to bring your pieces in so can we take a look and have a discussion about any ideas you have or what suggestions we would recommend.  At this stage, we will be able to come up with a few options and give you an idea of the costs involved.  There is never a fee or any obligation for these meetings and in lots of cases, you will want to take some time to think about what option works best for you. 

What will it look like?

The next step; at this point you feel confident about your design and would like to begin the process. Before any work is done to your pieces of jewellery, you will be inspecting a wax model and design images of the new piece to be made.  This will give you a great idea of what the finished piece will look like as well as the physical size and dimensions.  Because we are working with a wax model at this stage, any adjustments or alterations are easily made and a new model is produced.  Once your approval is met, we move on to the next stage!

Let’s make it!

Now is the fun part, we begin making your new design using your gold, diamonds and gemstones! First, your stones will be carefully removed and the gold will be selected for use in the finished piece.  We then use that gold and the approved wax model to create the finished piece.  The stones are then set and the piece will be meticulously polished to perfection.  Viola, your new piece is ready and waiting for you!

Woohoo!  

This is the final and most exciting stage; you are picking up your newly designed jewellery! You will be looking over the new piece and making sure it fits properly and of course, making sure you love it!  There is often extra material that was not used in the process, this will be returned to you or can be used as credit towards the cost of the new piece.  In lots of cases, and to the surprise of many happy customers, the extra material exceeds the cost of the work performed and you will be leaving with your new jewellery as well as some extra money
